The Orchid Dance

Painted onsite at this year’s orchid exhibit at the Smithsonian in Washington, DC. “Orchids: Amazing Adaptations” was in the Kogod Courtyard , between the National Portrait Gallery and SAAM.  The installation showcased how orchids have adapted to their many different environments, and can be found on every single continent except Antarctica.

Lovely lightweight chiffon scarves. Original artwork is digitally printed onto the fabric, with the edges finished by hand.
